Description

The Petzl Sm'D asymmetrical aluminium karabiner is recommended for workers at height looking to reduce weight to a minimum. The 'D' shape makes it especially suitable for attaching devices.The H cross-section ensures an improved strength-to-weight ratio and protects traceability markings from abrasion. Its fluid interior design and Keylock system facilitate handling and helps prevent snagging of the karabiner during manoeuvres. Features a hole for connecting TIBLOC or MICRO TRAXION type devices, limiting the risk of losing them. Each karabiner is individually tested and given Petzl's standard three year guarantee against any defects in materials or manufacture. It is available in two locking systems (manual SCREW-LOCK system or automatic TRIACT-LOCK system), or without a locking system for easy clipping during progression using climbing techniques.

Manual SCREW-LOCK locking system:
     - Red indicator provides a visual warning when the karabiner is unlocked
     - Recommended for harsh environments (mud, ice), where dust and dirt could cause an automatic locking mechanism to malfunction
     - Recommended when a karabiner needs to be opened and closed occasionally

Automatic TRIACT-LOCK locking system:
- Unlocks quickly in two steps, by raising and then turning the sleeve
- Recommended when a karabiner needs to be frequently opened and closed
